General Tso's Tofu - 30 Minute Meal!


This General Tso’s Tofu is an easy and incredibly delicious healthier take on the classic spicy sweet Chinese take out dish! One of my favourite tofu recipes. Ready in 30 minutes or less!

To make general tso's tofu

Gently press and cube tofu then toss with marinade ingredients, set aside, and start some rice if needed

Prep rest of ingredients for general tso's tofu: whisk sauce together, chop green onions and garlic. Set aside

Drain marinated tofu in a colander for general tso recipe

add marinated tofu and cornstarch to a ziplock bag. Seal and shake until tofu is fully coated

Fry marinated tofu in pan with a little oil until crispy then remove to a plate

Fry garlic in the same non stick skillet

Pour in the sweet spicy tso sauce, cook a couple minutes until thickened

Stir the crispy tofu into the tso sauce

Serve General tso's tofu over rice and enjoy with steamed broccoli. Top with green onions and sesame seeds and dig in! SO GOOD!!
