TOFU SALMON RICE BOWL

Turn a block of tofu into tender tasty "salmon" for a wonderful spin on a popular rice bowl. 

INGREDIENTS:  – Beet juice – Dark soy sauce – Rice vinegar – Oil – Miso paste – Liquid smoke – Water – Garlic – Nori – Paprika – White pepper – Tofu

STEP 1: 

In a blender, combine the marinade ingredients and pulse until smooth.  This should be a fairly thin liquid marinade.

STEP 2: 

Slice the tofu cross wise on top then cover with the marinade.  Refrigerate for 2 hours up to overnight.  

STEP 3: 

Pat the "salmon" dry when ready to cook.  Heat oil in a skillet, and then sear on both sides for 4 to 5 minutes until crisp and heated through. 

Serve your tofu salmon over sushi rice with avocado slices, chili flakes, green onions, and sriracha mayonnaise.
