Description
This Easy Vegan Cranberry Sauce is flavored with fresh orange zest and lemon juice. So bright and vibrant, it’s a quick holiday side dish that will compliment your vegan holiday roast perfectly!
Ingredients

- 1- 12 oz /340 g bag fresh or frozen cranberries

3/4 cup white sugar

1 cup water

Zest of a small orange

1 - 2 tablespoons fresh lemon juice

Pinch each of cinnamon and salt
Instructions
- Rinse cranberries and add to a 3 qt saucepan with water and sugar over medium-high heat, stir to combine
- Bring to a boil then reduce to a simmer, stirring frequently. Continue cooking for 5 minutes until most of the cranberries have popped and it takes on a jam-like consistency. I like to leave some berries for texture.
- Remove from heat, stir in orange zest, lemon juice, cinnamon and salt.
- Let cool to room temperature. It will thicken as it cools. Cover and refrigerate. Serve with holiday dinner once chilled. Can be made days in advance. For step by step photos, FAQ, Tips and serving suggestions see above post.
Notes
- To store and freeze: keep in a sealed container in the fridge for up to two weeks and freeze for up to 6 months.
