Ingredients

  • 1 tablespoon granulated onion

  • 1 tablespoon granulated garlic

  • 1 tablespoon dried parsley

  • 1 and 1/2 tablespoons brown sugar

  • 1/2 - 2 teaspoons cayenne pepper (1/2 mild, 1 moderate, 2 spicy)

  • 2 teaspoons chili powder (can use regular or smoked paprika)

  • 2 teaspoons dried thyme (not ground)

  • 2 teaspoons salt

  • 1 teaspoon allspice

  • 1 teaspoon black pepper

  • 1/2 teaspoon cinnamon

  • 1/2 teaspoon nutmeg

  • 1/2 teaspoon cumin

  • 1/8 teaspoon cloves

Makes 1/2 cup


Instructions

  1. Add to a jar: Use a funnel to transfer the jerk seasoning into an empty spice jar. Use with your favorite Jamaican-inspired recipes. Store for up to 2 years in a sealed jar.
