VEGAN BANG BANG BROCCOLI

A perfect way to add delicious flavor to your favorite veggies! A great snack or appetizer ready in minutes!

INGREDIENTS: – 1 onion – 1/2 bell pepper, – 2 garlic cloves – 14 oz chickpeas – 1 2/3 cup tomatoes – 1 tbsp hot sauce – 3 tbsp almond milk – 1 tbsp brown sugar – 1 tsp ground cumin – 9 corn tortillas

STEP 1: 

Start by whisking together the vegan mayonnaise, chili sauce, and agave.  This will make your bang bang sauce.  Taste and add more or less chili if desired. 

STEP 2: 

Now you will make your batter.  first, whisk the dry ingredients with the hot sauce.  Then, in a separate bowl whisk the liquid.  Combine until smooth. 

STEP 3: 

Cut the broccoli into bite-sized florets, then dip first in the batter, and then into the breadcrumbs.  Coat them well on all sides. 

STEP 4: 

Drop the battered broccoli into hot oil and fry for 2 to 3 minutes per side, until they are crispy and golden brown.  Drain on paper towels then top with sauce. 

Drizzle the broccoli with bang bang sauce, or serve it on the side for dipping.  Top with chopped chives or green onions.
