Whip up homemade soy milk at home for a fraction of the cost and delicious flavor!

To make this recipe you will need:  – 1/2 cup dried soybeans – 4 cups water – 1/2 tsp vanilla extract – 5 dates, pitted

STEP 1: 

Soak the soybeans in water for 12 to 24 hours before use.  Drain them and discard the soaking water.  Do not soak for longer than 24 hours. 

STEP 2:

Add the soaked beans, vanilla, water, and dates to a blender and pulse for 1 to 2 minutes until it has become a thick liquid. 

STEP 3:

Once blended, strain through cheesecloth then pour into a jar and store in the refrigerator for up to 5 days. 

This homemade soy milk is vegan, naturally sweetened, and ideal for use as a beverage, in smoothies, while cooking, or just over cereal!
