I love mango smoothies! So start your day with my easy mango smoothie recipe. It's one of my favourite smoothie recipes, ( I'm a sucker for a good strawberry mango one too) perfect for breakfast or hey enjoy it on a hot summer day- pure enjoyment!
Add ingredients to your high speed blender, blend and enjoy! That’s it!

This dairy free smoothie is a wonderful tropical summer beverage made with real fruit that you can enjoy all year long too using fresh or frozen mango.
Kids and adults in my family go crazy for this healthy mango smoothie and my orange creamsicle recipe too, yum! My daughter says my grandson has been asking for it- oh about everyday haha!

Ingredients / substitutions:
- mango: fresh or frozen I most often buy it from the frozen fruit section in the grocery store. It's super convenient. Sometimes mangos don't ripen for days
- banana: one small one will do, use fresh unless your using frozen mango then use a frozen banana got it haha
- oat milk: adds creaminess can sub your favourite unsweetened plant based milk, almond milk, etc,.. or coconut milk!
- vegan yogurt: gives the smoothie a richness, tang and adds healthy probiotics. I like coconut yogurt
- orange juice: goes so well wth the other fruit, tasty! can sub pineapple juice for a more tropical vibe!
- maple syrup: adds a subtle sweetness and mellows out the intense fruit flavours
- Ice: adds to the icy cold factor and gives the the smoothie a perfect texture
Mango varieties:
- For this smoothie fresh or frozen mangos may be used. The most common ones to choose from, are the smaller honey (Ataulfo), or the larger green-hued Haden, Kent, Tommy Atkins, or Keitt varieties. I usually use frozen but fresh is wonderful! Just peel and chunk it up and use fresh or freeze on parchment paper.

How to make a mango smoothie:
- Add all the ingredients to high speed blender starting with the frozen fruit and ice. Blend on medium speed. Then increase to high speed and blend until smooth. If too thick add a splash of juice or plant milk.

Pro tips:
- Add at least one frozen component along with ice, either mango or banana or it won’t have the right consistency. You want it thick and super frosty
- If using fresh mango, slice and freeze banana for recipe
- to freeze fruit: chop or slice, freeze on parchment paper then transfer to sealed container that way fruit is separated for easy removal.
- If you don’t have yogurt handy just add more plant milk
- For a more filling breakfast or snack add a scoopful of your favourite protein powder. I’d stick with plain or vanilla flavoured

Ingredients
- 2 cups frozen mango chunks, if using fresh see notes*
- 1 banana, small to medium size
- ½ cup oat milk, or any plant milk, almond, soy etc,.. even coconut milk!
- ½ cup unsweetened vegan yogurt, I like coconut yogurt*
- ½ cup orange juice, or sub pineapple juice
- 2 tablespoons maple syrup
- 3 -4 ice cubes, regular size
Instructions
- Add all the ingredients to high speed blender starting with the frozen fruit and ice. Blend on medium speed. Then increase to high speed and blend until smooth. If too thick add a splash of juice or plant milk.
