two creamsicles on a bed of ice with orange slices

Wait until you taste my creamsicle recipe! They’ll give Dairy Queen a run for it’s money and they’re ice cream free! 😋 You won’t believe how easy and how incredibly good these creamy orange popsicles are! And I have more popsicle flavours for you too!

They’re the perfect cool refreshing healthy frozen summer treat that takes five minutes to whip up in your blender!

Try not to drink it all before you get it into the popsicle molds! Yup- it’s that good!!

Ok so I know you can purchase creamsicles at Walmart like good humour or blue bell brands but there’re not dairy free folks and when you see how easy and tasty my home-made vegan creamsicles are you'll be hooked!- and kids will freak out over these!

What is the difference between a dreamsicle and a creamsicle?

A Creamsicle is made with ice cream, while a dreamsicle is made with ice milk

And of course my recipe is made with coconut cream which is even better if you ask me! Read on to the recipe❤️

one creamsicle being held

Why are these creamsicles so good you ask?

because they're made with ultra creamy coconut cream instead of dairy milk or cream or greek yogurt making them extra rich and I used condensed frozen orange juice for a more intense orange flavour! I mellowed the tartness with maple syrup and pure vanilla extract. It's a heavenly combination! Way better than orange sherbet! They taste like a frozen orange Julius!

How to make creamsicles at home:

These orange creamsicles do not have two layers, just one super creamy layer and you'll love them- trust me!

Add all ingredients to your blender. Blend until smooth

Pour the orange cream mixture into the popsicle molds. Add your popsicle sticks and freeze.

To serve: Once frozen run the molds under hot water to loosen the creamsicles and enjoy!!

This recipe makes 10-20 creamsicles depending on the size of your popsicle molds. For different flavour options see notes section*

Description

Bursting with orange flavour and creaminess! These dairy free homemade creamsicles will become your new favourite summer popsicle! Refined sugar free, healthy and naturally vegan, 4 ingredients! 5 flavour options!

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1/2 can frozen 100 % orange juice concentrate, I like Minute Maid (for more flavour options see notes*)
  • 1 can coconut cream, not refrigerated*
  • 4 tablespoons maple syrup
  • 1 teaspoon pure vanilla extract

Instructions

These orange creamsicles do not have two layers, just one super creamy layer and you'll love them- trust me!

  1. Add all ingredients to your blender. Blend until smooth
  2. Pour the orange cream mixture into the popsicle molds. Add your popsicle sticks and freeze.
  3. To serve: Once frozen run the molds under hot water to loosen the creamsicles and enjoy!!

This recipe makes 10-20 creamsicles depending on the size of your popsicle molds. For different flavour options see notes section*

Notes

  • For grape creamsicles: sub frozen grape juice concentrate
  • For pineapple creamsicles: sub frozen pineapple juice concentrate
  • For lemon creamsicles: sub frozen lemon juice concentrate (lemonade)
  • For lime creamsicles: sub frozen lime juice concentrate (limeade)
  • the lime and lemon recipe is not refined sugar free
  • I buy Savoy Brand coconut cream, usually from Walmart in the international section
  • you could use full fat coconut milk in place of coconut cream but it is not as creamy and good in my opinion.
  • Once blended feel free to add more maple syrup or juice to suit your taste buds
  • this recipe would probably work with a lot more flavours! If you test out any new ones I'd love to hear about it!!... like raspberry creamsicles!😊
  • Category: Sweets, Gluten free, snacks & sides,
