📋Ingredients
This has just a few ingredients needed. While we use the ones listed below, you can adjust to your own preferences. Exact measurements can be found in the printable recipe card below.
- Coconut water
- Blueberries
- Mango
- Pomegranate arils
- Strawberries
- Ice - as needed

🔪Instructions
This fruit salad is super easy to prepare. Start by washing all of your fruit well. I recommend letting strawberries and blueberries sit in a vinegar wash for 10 minutes, then rinse them thoroughly.
Peel and cut the mango into bite-sized pieces. Then slice or chop the strawberries.

If you are removing the arils yourself, carefully do so over a bowl, then rinse to remove any pith or debris.

Now, add all of the fruits to a large bowl, add in the coconut water, and the ice to chill. Serve immediately or refrigerate until ready to enjoy.

🥘Substitutions
Since this is so simple, you may not even consider substitutions, but you can change things up a bit. If you are out of an ingredient, have an allergy, or just a preference, it is perfectly okay to customize the ingredients. Below are some things you can swap out to make this work for you.
- Mix and match fruits based on the season or what you have in your fridge.
- Replace strawberries with raspberries, blackberries, or even kiwi.
- Experiment with pineapple or papaya for a truly tropical twist.
- Use fruit juice instead of coconut water.
- Add fresh watermelon, cantaloupe, or honeydew for sweetness

📖Variations
A fruit salad is pretty basic, but you've probably heard of or seen recipes that include items for texture or flavor. Below are a few things I think work great when added to a coconut water fruit salad.
- Elevate the crunch factor by adding chopped nuts or toasted coconut flakes.
- Introduce a touch of mint or basil for a burst of herbal freshness.
- Top with chopped pecans, walnuts, macadamia nuts, or peanuts for added crunch and protein
- Stir in mini marshmallows or chocolate chips for added sweetness.
- Pour the mixture into ice pop molds to make a coconut fruit summer treat

🍽Equipment
For this recipe, you only need a few items. If you are new to cooking, below are some of the items I always keep on hand for making recipes like this one. Check out our favorites and add them to your kitchen tools.
These are my favorites, but you can use any brand you prefer or already have on hand. This is just here for suggestions.

⏲️Storage
The best thing about a fruit salad is you can make as little or as much as you want and need. For this, you will likely have no leftovers. If making a larger batch, you'll want to keep that in the refrigerator.
Add the coconut water fruit salad to a container with a tightly sealed lid, then refrigerate for up to 3 days. You can also prepare the fruit and add the coconut water and ice to chill just before serving.

💭Top Tip
The most important thing to remember when making a fruit salad is to choose ripe fruit. Make sure the fruit you are using is in season and is at peak ripeness. You don't want it to be too hard, without flavor, or rotting.
FAQ
Unfortunately, freezing can change the texture and water content of fruits, leading to a less appealing outcome. While it is possible with some items, I don't recommend freezing together. Instead, freeze the individual fruits and combine them when ready.
Coconut water is rich in electrolytes, making it a natural way to rehydrate and replenish after physical activity. It also contains essential minerals like potassium, magnesium, and calcium, contributing to overall well-being.
